I have a dear friend, Tiffany Townsend, who is opening a shop. It will have new and consigned items for Children. We are SO excited for her! She has been working so hard to make sure everything is ready for her grand opening THIS SATURDAY!
Her store is in Hueytown, Alabama, which is near Birmingham.
She will open the doors for the first time at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 13.
1355 Hueytown Road Suite 101 Hueytown, AL 35023
(between the Dairy Queen and Library)
205-541-0460
The store hours will be:
Tuesday-Friday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
She’s even sweet enough to let me put a few of our HollyDays products in the store.
We’ve had the privilege of designing her logo and some other fun items for her!

Hope to see you all on Saturday for the grand opening! She will have refreshments and giving away some of our HollyDays products. Birmingham Bargain Mom wrote an article about the store. In the article, she says we are her sister store. That isn’t quite correct. Tiffany just has a few items of ours in her store {but I love her like a sister
}
I wish you all the best and much success, Tiffany!

Today we are loading up our trailer to take our stuff to the Birmingham Civic Center for our show this weekend. It is freezing! It really is 36 degrees outside. Believe me, I’d much rather be doing this in 70 degree weather and if that’s asking too much, I’ll take 50. Oh well, we’re bundled up and loading up now. Just wanted to take a quick break to officially invite you to the show. We’ll be setting up all day tomorrow. I’m hoping to be able to post some sneak peak photos for you tomorrow evening. Hope to see you at the show!

Have a great day!

We are really excited about how our bunting turned out! It still needs a warm iron to smooth out the wrinkles, but it is basically done… well, almost. I’ll be heading back to the store to buy more ric rac to make it longer.

We’re hoping for great weather for our little girl’s birthday party so we can decorate outside and this bunting can be strung from side to side across our patio. We’ll keep our fingers crossed!

We would love to see your bunting photos! Send us a photo of the bunting you make and we’ll send you a coupon code for $10 off any purchase from HollyDays! We may even feature your bunting on our blog!
Hope you enjoy your day!

Ok, now you have had a chance to get inspired to make a cute fabric bunting, here are the instructions, step by step. The great thing about a bunting is if you use it for a party/wedding, it can be reused as a decoration for a child’s room or playhouse.
Here we go… Introducing the no-sew Fabric Bunting. {Feel free to sew it, if you like. It’s not against the rules… these instructions are for those of us who are more comfortable with a bottle of glue in our hands than a needle and thread}

{Click Here to download triangle pattern}

Now, a little note: If you are going to be seeing the bunting on both sides, you may want to
use some fusible webbing to attach the wrong sides of two pieces of fabric together before
you cut the triangles. Then cut out the triangles with the pinking shears. Also, you would
want to glue another piece of ric rac or ribbon on the back of the other piece of ribbon
so you don’t see the area where the triangle attaches to the ribbon.
Doing so makes it have a nice, finished look.

Want to see how mine turned out? You’ll have to wait until tomorrow… we aren’t done!
We’ll post the photos tomorrow of ours. When you finish yours, be sure to send us a photo!

Another project we’ve been working on for our little one’s first birthday party is a bunting! You’ve probably seen these before hanging around car dealerships. Believe me, these are much, much cuter. You can make these as cutesy or formal as you like. They are used at birthday parties and weddings. This is part one of a three part blog tutorial on how to make a cute no-sew fabric bunting.
Take at a look at this handmade fabric bunting by a bride shown at Snippet & Ink

This is an adorable bunting available at Restoration Hardware Baby & Child.
Oh so cute pink & brown!

Ok, we thought this was the most beautiful bunting on the edge of the table,
but with further reading, we found it is actually beautiful paper cut into triangles
attached to the side of the table. How cute would this be
as a bunting around a table at a birthday party!?

In the next post, we’ll include photo tutorial of how we made our fabric bunting.
Have a great day!
